La Pira & La Granadilla is a 3 hectare specialty coffee farm located 1550 meters above sea level in San Ignacio, Peru. Maria Emita Garcia has owned this farm since 2015 when she inherited it from her father. Maria has worked in coffee since she was young when her father taught her how to grow specialty coffee. She loves the work of producing coffee and continuously strives to improve her farm. COOPAFSI was established in 1969 in an effort to promote gender equality in coffee production and has focused heavily on ways to improve coffee quality and the livelihoods of its members.
